I came across Dr Nair when looking for a Urologist. He made it to my shortlist, and ultimately selected him given his background, as I had a very swollen right testicle and was in a lot of pain. I was initially impressed that his personal assistant recognised my anxiety (and pain) and was able to confer with Dr Nair and give me an appointment the same day I called. Amazing! Officially, he was booked at least a week ahead! I was very impressed how his calm and engaging demeanour, put me at ease very quickly, enabling me to share my symptoms and concerns without embarrassment. He was quick to diagnose, organise the required tests and provide the necessary treatment. He also performed my Cystoscopy, which despite the minor discomfort, was less of an ordeal than I expected. This reflects his professionalism and skill. Whilst my issue was only a minor one compared to some of the more serious conditions he clearly has to deal with, I felt he genuinely cared and gave me the time and attention when I needed it most. For me, that puts him at the top of any list! I have now made a full recovery. Thank you Dr Nair!

I had my operation to remove my left kidney at Guy's Hospital on 21 February 2022 under the care if Mr Rajesh Nair. I met Raj Nair in November after my GP sought a second opinion on my failing left kidney. I immediately found him open, friendly and caring, he explained my situation in terms that were much more understandable than I had been previously offered. I was sure that he was the right person to take on my case and eventually to perform the surgery. When I went through a period of apprehension about three weeks before the operation Raj was helpful and kind and gave me the courage needed to go forward. His friendly manner helped a great deal on the day and the operation went as scheduled. He is, of course, a very skilled, able and gifted surgeon using the amazing facilities at the hospital to their very best. I feel I have much to thank him for.

After many different scans it turned out that one of my kidneys was swollen with low functionality. I had a consultation with Mr Nairobi explained the scans and explained the two options I had. He gave his advice on which option I should do but allowed me to make the decision. A couple of weeks after I changed my mind having hare time to think through the consultation and decided to have the kidney removed. Mr Nair phoned me to talk this through and was supportive throughout. On the day of the operation Mr Nair visited me in my room to explain the operation and answer any questions. The following morning after the operation he checked in and discussed with me how the procedure went and next steps for recovery.

I had my operation to remove my right kidney at Guys Hospital on 20th December 2021. My Surgeon Mr Rajesh Nair is an exceptional surgeon and I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me. I feel he has saved my life. I no longer fall asleep at the drop of a hat and I have so much more energy. I was not sure at the time whether I would have robotic or open surgery but robotic surgery was the best option and this was successfully carried out. My scars have healed very well. Thank you Raj from the bottom of my heart, I sing your praises to anyone I talk to about my operation.
